Erasmus Augustus Ennis and Emma Middleton Haygood Ennis family

I wrote about my great great grandparents on my mom's side.  This is my great geat grandparents on my dad's side.  People sure did have lots of children back in those days.  The beautiful lady in the far right with the white shirt is my great grandmother.  She was quite a woman I've written about her in some of my journal entries.  She had quite an interesting family.  Their last name is also my middle name.  I'm enjoying sharing these old photograph's I have.  Not sure why, maybe I'm hoping some long lost couisin will do a internet search and find me.  I think my great great grandmother looks pretty good after having 15 children.

Wow!  That is alot of kids!  And, she does look great.  Back then, it was common to have so many kids.  My grandmother has 14 brothers and sisters.  I think families got along better back then, everyone had to pitch in to make ends meets, whether it was chores around the house or getting odd jobs.  And probably, it was unthinkable to not attend church on Sunday.
Love your entries.

I am the long lost cousin. That's my grandfather next to your great-grandmother.
He was the oldest and approximately 27 in this photo. His name was Erasmus Minor. I have a copy of another photo of the family that was published with a front page article about our family in th Atlanta Journal-Constitution circa 1910. I am on a genealogy committee for the Giles family and have some wonderful info on the Ennis family from Deepstep, Ga. email address  if you want to contact  me: safety2@catransportation.com

Another long-lost cousin here? My great-grandmother was Lula Payne Ennis, and is somewhere in this picture. I just found your journal ... I would love to read more of your entries about the Ennis family. My great-grandmother died relatively young, I and don't have much information about her family.

If you see this, please get in touch via email.
